1. Platform Purpose

DonorNearby is an emergency blood donor coordination platform. We help coordinate between voluntary blood donors and people who need blood, including patients and hospitals, during emergencies.

2. Not a Blood Bank or Medical Provider

DonorNearby is not a blood bank, hospital, laboratory, or medical authority. We do not test, store, transport or directly supply blood, and we do not provide medical clearance or treatment.

3. Emergency Coordination

We do our best to coordinate requests, but DonorNearby does not guarantee donor availability, a successful match, response time, blood supply, or any medical outcome.

4. Donor Responsibility

Donors are responsible for deciding whether they are medically eligible and fit to donate. DonorNearby does not determine medical eligibility.

5. User Conduct

• Provide accurate information.
• Do not create fake donor registrations or false emergency requests.
• Do not misuse donor contact information.
• Do not use the platform for harassment, fraud, spam or unlawful activity.

6. Privacy and Personal Data

DonorNearby processes personal data as described in its Privacy Policy. Where processing is based on consent, consent is requested separately through the relevant form or notice. These Terms do not replace a required privacy notice or consent.

7. Medical Disclaimer

Information on DonorNearby is for coordination purposes and is not medical advice. Users should consult qualified healthcare professionals and follow the instructions of the relevant hospital or medical facility.

8. Communications

If you register as a donor, authorised DonorNearby coordinators may contact you about relevant blood requests using the contact information you provide. You may withdraw consent or request deletion through the Privacy Request page, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DonorNearby, its coordinators, volunteers and administrators are not responsible for medical complications, failed matches, communication delays, inaccurate user information, donor decisions, hospital procedures, or actions of third parties.

10. Service Availability

DonorNearby may update, modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the platform. Emergency coordination depends on current donor availability and the circumstances of each request.

11. Voluntary Contributions and Refund Terms

Voluntary Nature: Contributions to DonorNearby are entirely voluntary. Making or not making a contribution has no effect on access to blood request assistance, response times, or coordinator services. DonorNearby never charges patients or families for blood coordination.

Use of Funds: Voluntary contributions are used to support platform infrastructure, including server hosting, domain renewals, platform maintenance, and communication tools.

Payment Processing: Online contributions are processed securely via Razorpay Software Private Limited. DonorNearby does not collect or store payment card numbers, CVVs, or banking credentials.

Refund Policy: Because voluntary contributions are applied toward operational infrastructure expenses, contributions are generally non-refundable. If an unintended duplicate charge occurs or a payment was made in error, the supporter may contact us within 7 days of the transaction at support@donornearby.in with the Razorpay payment ID and transaction receipt for review.

Tax Notice: DonorNearby is an independent community volunteer initiative and is not a registered charitable organisation under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Contributions are not eligible for tax deductions.
